Capturing Coercive Control
Did you know that Coercive Control became a criminal offence in NSW from July 1, 2024?
Documenting coercive control will be a fundamental component of accessing safety and justice mechanisms with our clients. However, coercive control, by it's nature, is not always easy to see and articulate. Supporting victim/survivors to objectively explore their experiences, to synthesize information and identify patterns of behaviour is an important therapeutic role, contributing to both safety and healing for victim/survivors.
My training package will support clinicians, therapists, support workers and family workers who engage with victim/survivors of coercive control and domestic and family violence to build their skills in assisting victim/survivors to articulate and capture their experiences of coercive control.
