About me
Hi, I'm Jessica Grant. I am an Accredited Social Worker with over 22 years experience working in the Lower Hunter area of NSW, Australia.
I have worked in a range of different community based Social Work roles undertaking general counselling, mental health interventions, trauma counselling, parenting support, case management, health promotion and clinical supervision.
I opened Jessica Grant Counselling in 2022 because I wanted to create a place of safety, where I could assist people to meet their goals.
I feel lucky to meet people doing amazing things every day and I am incredibly privileged to be able to walk alongside people on their journey through life.
In my time outside of work, I am an avid reader of historical fiction. I love cooking and dream of one day opening a trattoria where I serve whatever takes my fancy. I love spending time in nature, travelling and sharing cuddles with my two young grandchildren.
Mission
Jessica is dedicated to offering a high quality Social Work counselling service that prioritises safety and healing using relational approaches. Jessica supports and guides people to access their own inner power and create meaningful change. Jessica will work alongside you, to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, enabling you to overcome challenges and thrive in all areas of your life. Jessica's approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and respect for each person's unique journey.
Vision
Jessica wants to live in a world where people's rights and dignity are upheld, and where all people have access to the things needed to thrive in life. As a Social Worker, Jessica is deeply committed to revealing oppression, challenging injustice and advocating for the rights of individuals, families, communities and groups. Jessica strives to uphold the dignity of all beings. Jessica believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to live the life they truly desire.
